What we collect, and what we don’t.
We collect the minimum needed to respond to an inquiry and run our business:
- Contact requests. The form on this site composes an email in your own mail client; nothing is posted to our servers from the form. What we receive is the email you choose to send: name, firm, website, practice area, market, phone and notes.
- Email correspondence you send to david@clinicads.com.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated by our hosting provider, used to keep the site running and detect abuse.
- Aggregate analytics described in section 02.
This site is deliberately light on tracking, and we would rather tell you plainly than bury it:
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and referring sources in aggregate. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you across other websites, and does not identify you.
- Advertising. No advertising pixel or tracker runs on this site today. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, opt-in consent will be requested where the law requires it, and the opt-out control on our Do Not Sell or Share page will be honoured.
- Preferences. If you use the opt-out control, a single value is stored in your browser's local storage so the choice persists. That is the only thing this site stores in your browser.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to data brokers.
Anything you give us is used for one of these purposes and nothing else:
- Replying to your inquiry and scheduling a strategy call.
- If you become a client, executing the engagement and providing services.
- Measuring in aggregate which pages and sources bring visitors to the site.
- Internal record-keeping for tax, accounting and audit purposes.
Some operational tasks are handled by third-party services, each of which receives only what its function requires:
- Vercel: hosting, content delivery, and aggregate analytics.
- Our email provider: sending and storing correspondence.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting), only as needed to run our business.
We do not hold data longer than we need to:
- Inquiries that do not become engagements: deleted after 12 months.
- Active client records: retained for the engagement plus 7 years for tax and audit purposes.
- Request earlier deletion by emailing david@clinicads.com, subject to legal retention requirements.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal-retention exceptions.
- Object to processing for a specific purpose.
- Opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising (California and states with comparable laws). Use the Do Not Sell or Share link in the footer.
- All requests: email david@clinicads.com. We respond within 14 days and never treat an inquiry differently because you exercised a right.
For visitors in Canada, PIPEDA and applicable provincial law (including Quebec's Law 25) govern our handling of personal information. For visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the GDPR and equivalents apply. Because this site runs no non-essential trackers, there is nothing to consent to on arrival; the rights above apply in full.
We may update this policy. The date below changes when we do, and material changes are flagged at the top of this page for 30 days before they take effect.
